    Woman arraigned on 6 hate crime charges after tirade at Downers Grove restaurant

    A lady accused of committing an anti-Palestinian hate crime at a Downers Grove restaurant pleaded not responsible on Monday.

    Alexandra Szustakiewicz, 64, of the 1700 block of Boulder Drive in Darien, was arraigned on six felony counts of hate crime, in accordance with courtroom information.

    When she was arrested on Nov. 18, Szustakiewicz was charged with two hate crime counts and one rely of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

    The felony prices accuse Szustakiewicz of claiming “(expletive) Palestine” throughout her encounter with a person and his spouse the morning of Nov. 16 on the Panera Bread at 7361 Lemont Street in Downers Grove. As well as, Szustakiewicz is accused of hitting the person on the pinnacle and approaching the lady in a manner that made the lady really feel threatened.

    Szustakiewicz stays free on pretrial launch. Her subsequent courtroom date is Feb. 4.
