    The top of the World Well being Group, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, says he and his United Nations colleagues “escaped demise narrowly” at Yemen’s foremost airport when Israeli airstrikes focused the power.

    Talking with the BBC, Tedros described the scene on the airport through the Thursday assault as “very chaotic.”

    “Folks had been in disarray and working all over the place,” he informed Radio 4’s Today program on Saturday.

    Tedros had been waiting to board a flight within the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, when the Israeli missile struck. When the airport got here underneath assault, one of many U.N. airplane’s crew was injured. At the least three others on the airport had been reported killed.
