President Trump advised reporters {that a} cognitive examination was among the many assessments he had on Friday throughout his first physical of his second term at Walter Reed Nationwide Navy Medical Heart, and mentioned his medical doctors would ship a report about his leads to coming days.
“I took a cognitive check. And I do not know what to let you know, aside from I bought each reply proper,” Trump mentioned. “I took simply a whole lot of completely different assessments, having to do with the center, having to do with different issues.”
Presidents will not be obligated to disclose their medical information, and there’s a long history of presidents concealing their medical points.
Trump — who has been less than forthcoming about his health information lately — is 78, the oldest president to begin a second time period in workplace. His predecessor former President Joe Biden began his first time period on the similar age, and visibly slowed down whereas he was in workplace.
A cognitive check was a part of Trump’s first White House physical back in 2018. Trump later recounted how he “aced” the check.
The check was not a part of Biden’s 2024 physical, a choice the White Home needed to defend after Biden struggled throughout his debate with Trump final summer season earlier than finally dropping out of the presidential race.
