    Lawmakers in South Korea voted to elevate a controversial martial regulation declared Tuesday by President Yoon Suk Yeol, reversing a dramatic resolution that shook the nation.

    Late Tuesday night time, in a shock TV deal with, Yoon declared an “emergency martial regulation” and accused the opposition of paralyzing the federal government with anti-state actions. He stated the transfer was wanted to guard the nation. Yoon accused the left-leaning opposition of being sympathetic with North Korea and vowed to “eradicate pro-North Korean forces and shield the constitutional democratic order.”

    Opposition leaders instantly denounced the martial regulation declaration as unconstitutional.
