The Sangamon County Republican Committee hosted the annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Wednesday, Might 7, on the BOS Heart in Springfield.
The keynote speaker was Johnny “Joey” Jones, a FOX information host and U.S. Marine corps veteran who misplaced each legs above the knee whereas serving as an explosive ordinance disposal tech in Afghanistan. Jones can also be the writer of the ebook Unbroken Bonds of Battle: A Fashionable Warriors E book of Heroism, Patriotism, and Friendship.
Different visitor audio system included Springfield Mayor Misty Buscher, Sangamon County Republican Chair Dianne Barghouti Hardwick and Home Republican Chief Tony McCombie. Sangamon County Clerk Don Grey served because the occasion chair.
Cynthia Stephenson Lamar was acknowledged with the 2025 Lowell Fraim Award, given for dedicated service to the Sangamon County Republican occasion.
