    The worldwide delivery firm DHL says it has resumed delivery packages valued over $800 in worth to particular person U.S. customers, only one week after saying it was halting such shipments because of new U.S. customs guidelines.

    “This resolution follows constructive dialogue between DHL and the U.S. authorities, who demonstrated a robust willingness to grasp our operational and technical challenges, and who agreed that it was crucial to behave shortly within the curiosity of U.S. customers,” the corporate mentioned.

    Final week, DHL mentioned the ten% tariffs launched by the Trump administration had resulted in additional intensive inspections of packages over $800 coming into the U.S., inundating the shipper with further work and inflicting delays.

    The corporate mentioned final week that it was experiencing a “surge in formal customs clearances, which we’re dealing with across the clock.”

    On Monday, following its dialogue with federal officers, DHL mentioned shipments valued between $800 and $2,500 can as soon as once more enter the U.S. by way of Customs and Border Patrol’s “casual” entry course of.
