Authorities affirm legal investigation being carried out over allegations of harassment.
Chilean authorities have confirmed that President Gabriel Boric is being investigated over allegations of sexual harassment.
In an announcement on Tuesday, Legal professional Basic Cristian Crisosto stated allegations filed in September on the prosecutor’s workplace of Magallanes in southern Chile, the place Boric beforehand served as a lawmaker, are being investigated.
The 38-year-old Boric has “categorically” denied the allegations by means of his lawyer Jonatan Valenzuela, who stated in an announcement that Boric himself had been “the sufferer of systematic harassment by way of electronic mail”.
