A 20-year-old Steger girl has died after she and a person jumped from a 3rd flooring window to flee an armed dwelling invasion over the weekend in South Chicago.
An post-mortem was scheduled for Mariah Ivy, who was pronounced lifeless Monday at 2:21 p.m. on the College of Chicago Medical Middle, in keeping with the Prepare dinner County medical expert’s workplace.
Ivy and a person have been inside a 3rd flooring condominium on Saturday about 5:15 p.m. within the 8000 block of South Manistee Avenue when an unknown gunman who walked up the steps shouted a risk on the pair, who jumped from the window to flee, in keeping with a police report.
Ivy and the person have been taken to the College of Chicago Medical Middle, the place the person was in critical situation, in keeping with the report.
One shell casing was discovered within the condominium and nobody has been arrested.
Detectives are investigating.
