On November 23, Chad Duell — who has portrayed Michael Corinthos on Basic Hospital for 14 years — confirmed is strolling away from the ABC cleaning soap opera.

He’s a seven-time Daytime Emmy nominee, most lately having earned a nomination in 2023 for Excellent Efficiency by a Supporting Actor in a Daytime Drama Collection.
He gained a Daytime Emmy in 2015 for Excellent Supporting Actor in a Drama Collection.
Basic Hospital producer Frank Valentini, in the meantime, revealed on Twitter over the weekend “there are not any plans to recast [Duell’s] position at the moment.”
